NARAJANA
Narajana is a special composition of 11 different vegetable oil extracts. The application of Narajana is associated with Vata and has balancing qualities. It is used for the care of the overexerted movement apparatus.
INGREDIENTS
Sesamum indicum, Aegle marmelos Corr, Withania somnifera L., Solanum melongena L., Argemone mexicana L., Sida cordifolia L., Erithrina indica Lam, Solanum xanthocarpum S.a. Wandi, Boerhaavia diffusa L., Stereospermum suaveolens dc, Asparagus racemosus Wilid.
Important note: Due to the traditional production methods suspended matters can be contained in the product. This represents an additional quality criterion though.
ABOUT AYURVEDA
Ayurveda is literally translated “The knowledge of the life” Ayus = life/Veda = knowledge. It covers all aspects of life and regards humans as a unity of body, spirit and soul. Ayurveda assumes the world consists of 5 basic elements: Space, air, fire, water, earth and knows three bio energies (Doshas) as an appropriate energetic generic term, which steer physical and mental intellectual procedures in the body: Vata (air, space), Pitta (fire and water), Kapha (earth and water).If these energies are in the balance, humans are considered as healthy. If disturbances in the equilibrium arise, then one sets on the massage teachings Abhyanga, a small subrange of the Ayurveda.
Abhyanga is used as a generic term for oil applications and should bring drifting apart together again.
THE DOSHAS - which type am I?
Vata consists of the elements air and ether and is called the life energy. It regulates various activities, e.g. those of the senses, the nervous system and the respiration. Vata types are regarded as energy-loaded, fuzzy, and sensitive. They are inclined to unrest and hectic, have however very much fantasy, and is hard working. Kapha, formed from earth and water, is responsible for the structure of the body, for flexibility and growth. Kapha-types always keep overview and nerves, also in difficult situations, sometimes tends to be phlegmatically and to lethargy. Pitta represents fire and water and is responsible for the biochemical procedures connected with body heat, e.g. the metabolisms and digesting ranges.
PRODUCTION OF THE OILS
Original recipes form the basis for the entire production process. In the respective basic oils containing fresh plants are harvested manually at the time of their optimal development and subsequently afterwards in a very time-consuming warm maceration procedure subjugate in sesame oil as menstruum. The entire industrial process, that takes place under continuous stirring, lasts approximately 3 weeks. All necessary steps for production are accomplished exclusively manually under consideration of rhythmic processes according to ayurvedic processes, which meant in the detail, that likewise consideration is taken on moon and sun rhythms, and also on the additional order of the plants. The oil maturing is done via short term heating up to for instance 110°C, which makes the oils somewhat more liquid and this extends its durability substantially. The ayurvedic manufacture regulations consider in this heating the experience, that result only from a certain simmering process a specifically characteristics in the oil. As basic oils Sesame oil (warming up) or coconut oil (cooling down) are usually used, which takes up the information of the containing plants.
