Populus tremula / Trembling poplar
PLANT DESCRIPTION:
The trembling poplar is a fast-growing tree that reaches a height of 25 m. The bark is smooth and has a greenish cast, the leaves are rounded. In the upper branch area, the bark is characteristically white. The leaves tremble at the lightest breeze - "tremble like aspen leaves." The male and female blossoms look different from each other and are not found on the same tree. Like all poplars, the aspen is dioecious. The tree blooms from March to April, before the leaves open.
PREPARATION: Boiling method
MOOD GROUP: Fear
NEGATIVE CONDITION
Anxious and full of cares for indefinite reasons, sometimes with trembling. General nervousness during the day or at night. Well-suited after nightmares, even if the dream has already been forgotten (also especially for small children).
-
Like the trembling poplar itself, aspen personalities are very sensitive and delicate human beings who "stumble even at the softest breeze."
-
They are often not understood by sober realists; for this reason, they sometimes do not want to talk about their problems.
-
The boundaries between their physical reality and emotional/astral areas is hard to discern.
-
People in negative aspen condition talk a lot in their sleep.
-
Children often want a small light on in the dark or the door left open.
-
Many aspen personalities have had painful experiences in their childhood through which they have learned that many people cannot be trusted. So often, even a subconsciously perceived word, a thought, a situation or a smell can provoke feelings of fear.
POSITIVE POTENTIAL
In positive aspen condition, one is fearless, calm and confident. One overcomes one's own feelings of fear and becomes brave. One can deal with feelings and intuition in a meaningful way. One recognises that there is something higher behind the feelings of fear. One sees the divine principle behind everything and recognises that fear arises out of inadequate consciousness.
BACH QUOTE
"Vague fears of unknown things, fears that cannot be justified or explained. In this case, the patient can be afraid that something horrible is happening without knowing what it could be. These indefinite, inexplicable fears can haunt one both day and night. Those who suffer in this way are often afraid to talk about their hardships.“ About positive condition he writes:"When we have arrived at this realisation (that of the fearless), we have left pain and suffering behind us; hardships, sorrows or fears lie behind us. We have outgrown everything besides the joy of living, the joy of death and the joy of our immortality...we can walk this path through every danger, through every difficulty, free from all fear.“
