Pranus cerasifera / Cherry plum

PLANT DESCRIPTION

The cherry plum originated in Eastern Europe. It is tree that often grows like a bush, reaching a height of 3-4 m. Often planted as a (cut) hedge (above all in England). The shape of the leaves is oval and serrated; the flowers are shining white and five-petaled. It blooms between February and April, before the leaves open.

Fear of losing control (of one's behaviour). The feeling of being on the verge of a nervous breakdown and deep desperation, which can, however, easily express itself as fits of rage and hysterical behavior.

• One feels very agitated, out of balance and unsettled.
• One has a fear of letting loose mentally. Under no circumstances does this person want thoughts from the subconscious (which one cannot come to terms with) to come to the surface. For this reason, s/he would rather repress them.
• Suicidal thoughts may appear because one hopes that one can be liberated from his/her negative thoughts in this way.
• There can be hysterical behavior and hurtful insults towards friends and family members.
• Cherry Plum is also very good for people who are mentally unstable or have a tendency to psychoses. 
• In children, such tenseness can express itself through stuttering or bed-wetting. 
• Negative Cherry Plum condition will not always be outwardly apparent. Sometimes it manifests itself also by a forced display of calmness.
