Aesculus hippocastanum / Chestnut bud
PLANT DESCRIPTION
The horse chestnut reaches a height of up to 20 m and has a thick, dark-brown trunk. Horse chestnut leaves are finger-shaped and can be up to 20 cm long. The Bach essence Chestnut Bud uses only the buds, which are formed at the beginning of April. White Chestnut is taken from the same tree, but for that, the blossoms are used.
PREPARATION: boiling method
MOOD GROUP: Insufficient interest in present circumstances
NEGATIVE CONDITION
Incapable of learning from mistakes and experience. For example, the wrong partner is chosen over and over again, or an unsuitable profession is continued. Instead of analysing the mistakes and processing them, one tries simply to forget them.
-
The ability to learn is blocked for different reasons. One has a hard time concentrating on something because one is too distracted or uninterested.
-
One would rather flee to new projects or undertakings than to process past experiences.
-
In negative Chestnut Bud condition it often happens that one is incapable to learn or notice something. It just won't go into one's head because something inside struggles against it.
-
Children in negative Chestnut Bud condition are for the most part somewhat behind in their development and have learning difficulties.
POSITIVE POTENTIAL
In the words of Bach: "These flowers will help us to make full use of our daily experiences and to allow us to see ourselves as well as our flaws as others do.“ The positive Chestnut Bud personality observes his/her own flaws objectively and learns from every experience. The ability and readiness to learn develop and one becomes more conscious and spiritually open. Chestnut Bud can also help personality development.
BACH QUOTE
"For those who don't seem to be able to learn enough from their own experiences and observations and need more time than others do to grasp the lessons of daily life. While in many people one experience is enough, it is necessary for these souls to experience them more often until they have learned the necessary lesson. In this way, to their own chagrin, they often see themselves forced to repeat the same mistakes in different situations, whereas for others one time would have been enough, or the observations of others, had saved them from making this mistake.“
