Just as nature-bleached wood, naturally treated leather has an unmistakable character. The open-pored surface tells of what the leather has experienced in its life, and it continues to change. Use, sun and rain alter the coloring. A natural protective surface develops, the patina. In the course of time, the patina will close. Once this process is complete, the patina produces a uniform color and a ruggedness to the leather.
