Mimulus guttatus / Mimulus

PLANT DESCRIPTION

Originating in North America, this perennial plant can reach a height of 50 cm. It grows primarily near streams and in moist places, and it has a fleshy stem. The large, shining yellow flowers have five petals that grow together. It blooms between July and August.

NEGATIVE CONDITION

Fear of certain things (for example illness, death, darkness, poverty, etc.) and phobias of certain animals or other people. Well suited for shy and sensitive people, before public appearances and for conditions such as stuttering and turning red.

• The fear always has a concrete basis (in contrast with Aspen).
• They aren't comfortable talking about their apprehensions. For the most part they cannot bear large groups of people, harsh light or noise.

• Sometimes outsiders recognise the Mimulus personality's fear fairly late in the game because these people can be extroverted and appear strong.
• According to Dr. Bach, fear is often connected with beliefs about money, and for that reason it is a common occurrence in our time.

One meets the difficulties and challenges of life with more courage and serenity. Mimulus promotes the ability to open oneself to new situations. One develops trust and confidence and in this way grows beyond one's own fears and apprehensions, realising their relativity and transitoriness.
